Biofuels are being tipped as the new environmentally friendly way to cure our addiction to oil, petrol and diesel. Made from naturally occurring, agricultural crops like maize and corn, biofuels are fully renewable sources of energy that can be produced domestically by our own farmers. They are also much kinder to our environment as they emit far less pollution and only release the amount of CO2 that their original plants would have absorbed in their lifetime. Switching to biofuel would be a fairly easy transition, manufacturers would make more flexible fuel cars that are able to run on both biofuel and petroleum products. This is completely feasible; many products are already being run on biofuels, like our range of stylish, contemporary outdoor fires.

Biofuel is the perfect fuel for an outdoor fire as it burns silently and provides very little smell, soot or smoke. Outdoor fires are a great way to create a stunning focal point for your alfresco summer party or evening barbecue. Their stainless steel burner units can hold up to 1.5 litres of biofuel and the flame heights are completely adjustable, to suit your mood.

It seems there is no overnight solution to our vast consumption of fossil fuels and the damage it is doing to our environment, it is likely we will need to use a combination of sources, from wind power to solar, and the use of biofuel will definitely play its part in that.
